Health Insurance abroad!!!

Now I'm doing the shopping for the coverage abroad. I have found an array of different prices ranging from $240.00 - $860.00 for three months. It has been a trying time just to speak to someone at these companies to answer a simple question like "do I have to pay for procedure up front and then file a claim to recover my expenses or does the ins. company pay(I pay a co-pay) up front and we settle afterwards....etc....? But I do not get a straight answer and I am always asked to refer to the written policy pages. Conclusion: I will just go with what was recommended to me buy a friend that has done traveling to the USA from Italy.  Word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising!!!!!!  BTW cost of coverage will be $280.00 which includes emergency evacuation back to the US.   Till next post..........

Booking my flight to Rome, Italy

Just looking through a whole array of web sites that offer "CHEAP FARE" but they all seem to be the same +- any fees that they might charge. Now I am over whelmed by looking at so many travel sites that I just have to find a price that is satisfactory. If I do not soon I will drive myself nuts. It seems to me, I will be flying Turkish air. I am not too fond of flying into Istanbul for my one and only stop. I would normally choose a nonstop flight but the difference  around 500.00 dollars!!!!!! That will be expenses for about three weeks.
The next step would be looking for health insurance for the time I'm there.
